Update

Thank you so much, all of you who have been praying! Travis is awake now. They removed the breathing tube and he is not on the sedation medication anymore. He is still on some other medications for pain, etc. so he is still having some "amnesia." He is becoming more able to talk but since the breathing tube was in for so long his vocal chords are going to take several days to get back to normal. Please keep praying for him, his doctors, nurses, and family as they work with him and as he learns of his situation (he has to be told over and over again because of the amnesia). God Bless!

Please Keep Praying

Travis and his girlfriend Kaitlyn are still in the PICU at Children's Hospital. Travis had a blood clot on his brain but PRAISE THE LORD it has not changed at all so they will not have to do surgery on it and it will hopefully just go away. Their main concern is his back injury. Two vertebrae are actually perpendicular to the rest of the spine. They are calling it a "complete" injury, however they have not confirmed that the spinal cord is severed so we still do have hope. With God, ALL things are possible!!! They wanted to do surgery Monday to straiten the vertebrae and put a rod in to give him support because right now he couldn't sit up or anything. Also, last night he developed a fever (101.5) and has some infection in his lung, he cannot raise up and cough it out so he is on antibiotics. They will not do surgery until he is well so this is not a major concern right now but it is a complication. Please pray he will be able to walk again someday and that his infection will clear up quickly and completely so he can have the surgery.

Kaitlyn his girlfriend is doing better. I do not know many of the details about her but I do know she needs our prayers. She is moving all her limbs but has had to have 2 surgeries, one of which was to remove blood on her brain. Her brain is still swollen but I believe has gone down some. If you read this and would like regular email updates email Levi at elevijohnson@gmail.com and he will add you to the list.

Much Needed Prayer

Good Morning, We are in need of your prayers today. My brother in law Travis and his girlfriend were in an accident involving a 4 wheeler. They are both in the hospital but she is not doing very well and he has a major spinal cord injury. Right now we are waiting on additional tests to know really where we stand but some of his vertebrae are separated in his back and have caused a lesion on his spinal cord. I will post as soon as we know more. The doctors are just doing testing right now. Please pray for both of them. She is 15 and he will be 17 in a few days.

Thank you and God Bless
Katie
