Roller Skating and Sunday

Here are some pics of the girls before church on Sunday and then some of Chloe roller skating. She has gotten SO much better at roller skating in just a few months! I think we are going to be ready for a bicycle soon. Alice LOVES her big sister and loves it when Chloe pays attention to her! We are having a blast! Also a little video of Chloe skating... I still remember not TOO long ago I had to hold both her hands and walk behind her when she had her skates on.

Porch Swing:1, Chloe:0

Chloe spent Friday night at her Mimi's house and they have a porch swing which apparently attacked my daughter :) They said she didn't even cry!!! Anyway, she missed school yesterday because of her asthma so I am interested to hear if any of the other kids made comments today on her eye...

Alice

Well yesterday I posted about Chloe's first day of school so today I decided I needed to post some pics of Alice. Some of the dates are wrong but these are all within the last month or so. She is growing and doing more every day!

Blogging

Well, I have not posted in forever but I have really been thinking lately how I need to get it together on here so I can look back and remember my sweet young family! Chloe started school last week. She is in k-4 at Arkansas Baptist. She LOVES it! Last week was a big week for Alice too. She is 8 months old and last week she got her first teeth, 2 front on the bottom. She also started sitting up by herself and crawling. They are the sweetest things. God has blessed us indeed! He continues to grow us and speak to us as we change and grow every day together. I can't wait to see what is in store for us next! Hopefully I will be more faithful in blogging so that I can share and look back myself on all that He's done!

Update

Thank you so much, all of you who have been praying! Travis is awake now. They removed the breathing tube and he is not on the sedation medication anymore. He is still on some other medications for pain, etc. so he is still having some "amnesia." He is becoming more able to talk but since the breathing tube was in for so long his vocal chords are going to take several days to get back to normal. Please keep praying for him, his doctors, nurses, and family as they work with him and as he learns of his situation (he has to be told over and over again because of the amnesia). God Bless!

Please Keep Praying

Travis and his girlfriend Kaitlyn are still in the PICU at Children's Hospital. Travis had a blood clot on his brain but PRAISE THE LORD it has not changed at all so they will not have to do surgery on it and it will hopefully just go away. Their main concern is his back injury. Two vertebrae are actually perpendicular to the rest of the spine. They are calling it a "complete" injury, however they have not confirmed that the spinal cord is severed so we still do have hope. With God, ALL things are possible!!! They wanted to do surgery Monday to straiten the vertebrae and put a rod in to give him support because right now he couldn't sit up or anything. Also, last night he developed a fever (101.5) and has some infection in his lung, he cannot raise up and cough it out so he is on antibiotics. They will not do surgery until he is well so this is not a major concern right now but it is a complication. Please pray he will be able to walk again someday and that his infection will clear up quickly and completely so he can have the surgery.

Kaitlyn his girlfriend is doing better. I do not know many of the details about her but I do know she needs our prayers. She is moving all her limbs but has had to have 2 surgeries, one of which was to remove blood on her brain. Her brain is still swollen but I believe has gone down some. If you read this and would like regular email updates email Levi at elevijohnson@gmail.com and he will add you to the list.

Much Needed Prayer

Good Morning, We are in need of your prayers today. My brother in law Travis and his girlfriend were in an accident involving a 4 wheeler. They are both in the hospital but she is not doing very well and he has a major spinal cord injury. Right now we are waiting on additional tests to know really where we stand but some of his vertebrae are separated in his back and have caused a lesion on his spinal cord. I will post as soon as we know more. The doctors are just doing testing right now. Please pray for both of them. She is 15 and he will be 17 in a few days.

Thank you and God Bless
Katie

Dress Up

Chloe always plays dress up and is almost always a princess. When she came to me the other day in this outfit I was curious because it is not nearly as glamorous as usual and I asked her who she was and she looked at me like I should know and she said," I am a grownup!" :)

Planning anyway

Well, even though I don't know if my baby is a boy or a girl or an OWL... I am still planning. I have bought some of the CUTEST newborn clothes. Chloe was SO SMALL when she was born that the "0-3" months just swallowed her til she was 4 or 5 months old and I didn't realize until after she was past that stage that they made "newborn" size. So I have stocked up on several cute onesies for newborns- they are white/polka dot/some green/yellow but I think they are pretty neutral as far as a boy or a girl could wear them. If its a girl maybe I will just put a big bow on her head when she wears the green ones. Although, people have come up to me when Chloe was a baby wearing PINK and asked, "How old is he?" weirdos. :)

Cleaning

Well I guess I am starting my "nesting" or something. I spent hours yesterday cleaning out every nook of Chloe's room. I am going to set up the baby bed in there and have them share a room for a while because I am not ready for her to move to the downstairs bedroom... its so far away!! :) Plus I am planning on the baby sleeping in the bassinet in our room mostly, like Chloe did. (Til she was way too big and almost fell out...) Anyway, I threw out 3 trash bags full of.. well trash. I cant believe how much stuff she has!!!! I am going to make it a point to not get her and the baby ANY and EVERYTHING I think would be neat.. it is just stupid. Not to mention, half of it breaks!!! Well, I think I have learned my lesson...it took forever to get it all cleaned up. Now the baby has a drawer in chloe's dresser, space in the closet for clothes and space above for extra diaper/wipes storage. I am so excited! Now I could really clean out the storage space of Chloe's old clothes if I could just know whether its a boy or a girl... if its a girl i'll keep the clothes, if its a boy.. OUT THEY GO!!!! I am in a cleaning out MOOD!!! :)

I just love Summer!

I dont love hot weather but other than that I wish it would stay summer forever. Everything seems so laid back and fun. I'm sure Chloe misses all her activities (gymnastics, dance, mission friends, etc) but I love not having to rush everywhere every day! We have been swimming MOST days and are going again this evening. Tomorrow we are going to the Museum of Discovery with my aunt and her grandson, Jack who is about Chloe's age. It will be fun, I havent taken her there yet since she was old enough to actually enjoy it. Then we are going to Oklahoma for several days to visit my other aunt and uncle and then back a few days and then off to Mt. Magazine for a family reunion.. it is BEAUTIFUL up there and they have a new huge lodge and great cabins to stay in! After that is VBS at church then my birthday then everything will start up again in august... I cant believe how time flies....

Fun Busy

Wow, since my "most relaxing week" we have been very busy!!! Chloe had her dance recital a few weeks ago and it was SO fun! Levi's dad came and stayed with us for the weekend so he could see her dance. She had the cutest little pink and green outfit with a hat that had this HUGE pink paper daisy on top!! I will post pictures as soon as I can get them onto this new computer... it is always a learning process for me to figure out memory cards/cameras/transferring to the computer.... so I will slowly but surely be able to post more pics of us. Since then we have been swimming NON STOP it seems like. My parents have a pool so Chloe and I go there most days, Levi takes her after he gets home from work and she can now swim by herself with NO help and NO FLOATIES!!! She is very independent and not scared of anything!! I was scared to go to the deep end much less jump off the diving board into the deep end of a pool til I was like 10 I think and she does it without thinking. She just amazes me!! Levi is on a camping trip with a friend from work and so Chloe and I are doing NOTHING today- the first day we have had to chill around the house in a while! We went to "Old Mcdonalds" (Mcdonalds) for lunch and that was fun and now she is napping. I love days we just get to hang out together, it will be strange but WONDERFUL to bring a new kid into the mix but I think I will miss hanging out with just Chloe sometimes;) I find out on July 8th what I am having. I really have no feeling on what it is and neither Levi or I really care... we both want either one!! So it will be fun to find out and know neither of us will be disappointed if its a boy or a girl... we both hope and pray of course that its healthy whatever it is! I am having fun NOT knowing, but I want to find out just so I can prepare Chloe and also get prepared with the right clothes, blankets, etc.

A Most RELAXING week!

I am so excited this week! Yesterday was obviously the holiday, and we have NO activities going on as far as dance, gymnastics, etc... Levi doesn't even have school this Thursday evening! My house isnt even a total disaster so there is not just tons of work to do there either. WHATS GOING ON?!?! :) Yesterday was fun, Chloe got a little inflatable pool to put in the front yard and she and her daddy had a lot of fun, she would splash him then he would dunk her and that went on for hours I think. I will have to post some pictures today or tomorrow.
She just did the CUTEST thing... she came in here in a T-shirt and panties with high heels and a huge purse carrying her cell phone and her doll and she said she was taking her doll to school. She put the doll on the sofa and said ok, have fun! Then walked back to her room. Kids are a hoot!

New Computer

Thats right, I am typing from my new computer that my GENIUS husband put together!!! I am so excited to have a nicer computer finally- the other ones need to be put in the dumpster! :) Well, maybe that is an exaggeration but anyway, I am grateful for the new one!

Today was a fun/funny day with Chloe. AT LEAST 2x maybe even 3x she unstacked my empty laundry baskets I had ready to take downstairs and put a her baby dolls in it with about 59 blankets. She is so cute, when she plays dolls or dress up- she is REALLY the character. She has a great imagination! Well, I cant wait to test out my new computer more so I will post again in a few days!!

This week

I have been having a pretty darn good week- for one thing we are getting a new computer! I AM SO EXCITED, we have 2 ANCIENT ones that don't like to work sometimes... I guess that is the HIGHLIGHT of my week. Also I am just happy tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! This weekend we are going to my neice's high school graduation, its so weird because I feel like I should be that age but no- I graduated 9 stinking years ago. I am getting old, its depressing.. Anyway- I am looking forward to a fun weekend with Chloe and Levi, we got some new netflix in the mail yesterday so I guess we will be watchin movies and putting together a new computer!!

First Dr.'s Appointment

Well I had my first prenatal appointment this afternoon with my OB. He took 1 little ultrasound picture- it looks like a bean :) I hope it weighs at least 5 pounds already since I have gained that much weight :) ha ha. No I need to be more careful or I will weigh 400 pounds by the end. My OB said for sure it would be another C-section and he does it about 10 days early so that means sometime around Dec. 1st we will have the baby. Poor Chloe- her birthday is Dec. 20th so we might have to do her party a month early or something this year so her moment isnt taken over by the new one. Lots of time between now and then, I'm sure I will think of something special for her, for now I am going to concentrate on NOT EATING MY ENTIRE HOUSE!
