Working Girl

Well, I am a working girl again. God works in mysterious and surprising ways sometimes. We had not even been talking about me getting a job but a job literally fell into my lap this week. If you knew me when I had my last job, then you know that it literally drained my soul from me. When I finally was able financially to quit it was by the skin of our teeth but it was just too much for me. Not only did God literally hand me this job on a silver platter but it is a wonderful situation. I could not IMAGINE people better to work with. My boss is the most professional kind man I have met and there are three other ladies in our office that are all just SUPER wonderful. The job in and of itself has been a little difficult to learn but it is so interesting and I really do LIKE what im doing. It is a temporary (though full time) job because the lady I am filling in for is away on FMLA leave basically because her husband is very ill. They have two grown children. It is a very sad situation and I hope all who read this will keep that family in your prayers. Also please pray that I can keep her work done well enough that she will not have a big mess to clean up when she does return. All of this just reaffirms that God IS always at work. Bless all of you this week!

Potty Training

Chloe woke up today with a dry pull up!!! This is wonderful because night times have been such an ordeal. I thought kids were ready to potty train when they started waking up with a dry diaper but Chloe never did-she sleeps in so late its always too late :) (However, I am greatful to have always had a good sleeper!) Anyway, the past few days have been dry so I am excited. This potty training thing was WAY harder than I thought it would be! Its a Praise to God that we are basically through now! :) With God (and a little bit of bribery) all things are possible. Ha Ha, Just kidding. Well, it is early in the day so I may post later but I am excited about Spring Break week coming up, we don't have Mother's Day out at church, dance, Mission Friends, and Levi is out of school so we should be able to get a lot of things done... maybe even some SPRING CLEANING! :-P HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

NO POWER!!

Well, Chloe and I are hanging out at my mom's house today because the storms knocked out the power at our house last night right around bedtime and it STILL isn't on. I called Entergy and they say it should be back on by 4:00PM!!! That seems sort of like a long time to me but oh well. At least I got to come to my mom's and mooch for a while! Free coffee, breakfast, and lunch is not a bad deal! Chloe is being a wild animal over here! She must think it is just a free for all :) I must admit it is nice also to be in a different setting and not feel like I have to be cleaning or doing laundry every second. I hope the power is back on in time for me to shower and fix my hair before mission friends. I just love teaching the little four year olds, they are cute as a button and it's neat to see them do the pledge of allegiance I think. It is amazing what little kids can learn and memorize. Well, I guess I should get off the computer for a while and make sure Chloe isn't hanging from a ceiling fan somewhere...

Yay! I started a blog!

Ok, I used to consider myself somewhat computer savvy. I have figured out that I am anything but!!!! Blogging is new "to me so you will have to bear with me as I get the hang of it. I guess I will just start out that today we had the girls Bible study at church and we mostly talked about housekeeping and cooking, etc. and I feel like a big loser! My house is a mess most of the time and I only cook a few nights a week and make my family eat leftovers or fend for themselves sometimes :) I realized the other day I had forgotten to feed my dog for a whole day... when she started sniffing my breath and trying to like my face for crumbs I realized what the deal was. Poor thing. Well Chloe just ran down the hall naked so I better see whats going on.
